Don't worry, no Heimlich horror stories to tell...
I was just reminded by SM's post of something Samsbane pulled on me Monday. I was working in the kitchen when he walked up to me grinning & holding up his arms, apparently wanting me to pick him up. I did..... and then had to wonder why on earth his lips & chin were brilliant turquoise blue?! So I wandered around the house for a good 10 minutes... just KNOWING we had nothing that he could have been eating that would have stained his lips so well.... but his lips were blue so obviously we did. Finally I found it... He had gotten hold of one of my birthday cards--a cool little one done on this weird paper that looks black until you write on it with a special pen--then the writing looks like funky ink splatter--all different colors. Anyway.... apparently Samsbane had decided that in the absence of the special writing pen he'd just lick the card for a while, hence the blue lips. (The "black" background is apparently just a concentration of blue pigments.)
Silly blue-lipped staple-eating boy!! I just can't wait to see what he pulls when he hits the "terrible twos" :-D

One day in his twos he's going to come in the kitchen, bright purple from head to toe. You are going to look at him, then turn around and keep cooking as if nothing was weird. By then, it may not be.
