Parenting Children in the Covenant

This is a fantastic post by an on-line acquaintance. Well worth the time to read and ponder.
To Spank Or Not To Spank … Is Not The Question

And this is a great follow-up article.
Eternal brothers, Confessing & Forgiving

This, these two posts by Emeth Hesed, sum up what I've been trying to get through my head for the past 4 years. This is the Gospel applied to our children.

Both of those were excellent. I especially appreciated her post about confessing.

I also really like her covenantal approach to parenting. I really do think grasping the Covenant and its meaning for our children totally up-ends the parenting paradigm prevalent in so much of Evangelicalism (and stomps all over the Fundamentalist one). The Covenant changes EVERYTHING.
